UBLash Lab · a two-minute consultation
The consultation, before the chair.
Lash design is three reads — your eye, your natural lashes, your week — before it is ever a style name. Answer the same questions our artists ask in the chair, and leave with a brief worth bringing to your appointment.

01How it decides
Read 01The eye
Six shapes, six different curls. The eye decides; the lash agrees — a hooded eye needs lift where an upturned eye needs restraint.
Read 02The natural lash
Density, direction, and health bound what's honest. Downward growth points to a lift before anything is added, and irritated lids get a kind 'not yet'.
Read 03The life
Pools, newborns, glasses, side-sleeping — if a set fights your actual week, it's the wrong set, however beautiful. Sometimes the answer isn't extensions at all.
02Questions, answered
- Which lash extensions should I get?
- It depends on three things: your eye shape, the health and direction of your natural lashes, and how much maintenance fits your week. Lash Lab walks the same three reads our artists use in the chair and recommends classic, hybrid, volume, wispy — or a lash lift if extensions aren't the honest answer.
- Should I get a lash lift or lash extensions?
- If your natural lashes are reasonably dense but grow straight or downward, a lash lift and tint often gives more payoff for less upkeep. Extensions add length and fullness your natural lashes don't have. Lash Lab checks your natural-lash read first, so it will tell you when a lift is the better call.
- Is the consultation really free?
- Yes — Lash Lab is a free tool from Urban Brows Edmonton. Two minutes, no account, no photos required, and nothing you enter is stored.
- What's the difference between classic, hybrid, and volume lashes?
- Classic is one extension per natural lash — defined, natural. Volume uses handmade fans of ultra-fine lashes for density and drama. Hybrid mixes both. Wispy adds deliberate spikes for a textured, editorial line. Which one flatters you most depends on your eye shape and natural lash density.
- Do I still get a consultation at my appointment?
- Always. Lash Lab writes a brief worth bringing to the chair, and your artist confirms it in person — checking your natural lashes up close before any set is applied at our Mill Woods, Bonnie Doon, Beaumont, or West Edmonton studios.
