Urban Brows has threaded Edmonton since 2014 — four locations, one way of working. Every artist we hire trains on the same 48-page guide, in a paid onboarding, before they take a chair. Experience gets you in the door; the Method is what we teach.

01How You're Trained
Two weeks, one book, your own chair
Most salons say “paid training” and mean shadowing. Ours is a curriculum — the same one we sell as a class — and you're paid while you learn it.
Days 1–3
The guide, cover to cover
You get your own printed copy of Academy № 01 — the manual every Urban Brows artist trains on. Consultation questions, the six eye shapes and six face shapes, growth and symmetry, the mapping checklist. You shadow the chair while you read.
Days 4–7
Mapping and thread, supervised
Mapping on real faces with a senior artist checking every line, threading drills, and the consultation said out loud until it sounds like you. Nothing goes near a client until your map earns it.
Week 2
The chair, with a net
Real clients, senior artist within arm's reach. You're signed off service by service — threading first, then tinting, lamination, and lash work as your line proves out. Paid throughout.

02What We Look For
Hands first, then everything else
Minimum 1–2 years working in brows, threading, or lashes. Show us the work — an Instagram grid says more than a resume.
Threading and brow work
You can hold a clean line with thread and shape a brow you're proud of. We'll tune your technique to the Method — we won't have to teach you to hold the thread.
