Volume Lashes

Volume lashes replace the single extension of a classic set with a handmade fan — several ultra-fine extensions, fanned out and bonded to one natural lash. Each individual extension is far lighter than a classic one, so a fan adds density without adding weight, and your natural lash carries roughly the load it would under a single classic extension.

Every fan at Urban Brows is made by hand at the chair rather than bought pre-made, so fan width and diameter can be matched to the natural lash it is going on. Strong lashes take wider fans, finer lashes take narrower ones. That matching is the difference between a volume set that lasts and one that sheds early, and it is why a full volume set takes just over two hours.

The finished look is soft and dense rather than spiky: a filled-in lash line with no visible gaps, dark enough at the base that eyeliner becomes optional. It photographs well, which is why volume sets are the most common request before weddings and events.

Retention is two to four weeks, the same as classic. Volume fans need brushing to keep them open, and your artist will show you how before you leave. If your natural lashes are very fine or currently shedding, your artist may recommend a hybrid set instead — volume is only safe when there is enough healthy natural lash to hold each fan.
